AI SEO · THE SEARCH BRIEF

What AI search changes—and what still matters.

Keep the focus on clear services, useful answers and evidence. AI terminology is not a substitute for a well-explained business.

Start with accessible, useful information

Google says its established SEO best practices remain relevant to AI Overviews and AI Mode. It does not require a special AI schema or additional optimisation to make a page eligible. Eligibility is not a promise that any page will be shown.

That is a useful starting point for a business conversation. First check that the website clearly explains the service, the customer it suits and the next step. A more dramatic label will not resolve vague information.

Write for actual customer decisions

Our proposed research starts with the questions people ask before enquiring. What does the service include? Who is it for? What is outside the scope? How is cost determined? What evidence can the business share?

Give each important question a direct answer, then add the detail someone would need to assess it. Avoid filling a page with repetitive question headings that say very little.

Separate evidence from presentation

Identify the source and scope of a claim. An approved client account, a clearly dated project record and an illustrative content example are different forms of information and should be labelled differently.

Our approach is to connect a claim to the material that supports it. A fictional presenter can explain a service, but should not be presented as a customer saying that the service changed their business.

Ask what work is actually included

Before purchasing AI SEO, ask for the practical scope: technical access checks, customer-question research, service-page improvements, structured business information and reporting. Clarify which items overlap with existing SEO work.

Agree what can be measured and what remains uncertain. A provider should not turn a screenshot of an AI answer into a guaranteed promise of future recommendations, rankings or enquiries.

General planning guidance, not a prediction of results for your business. Review the scope and evidence before committing to a service.
